Borneo Jazz Fun Run 2026 is a non-competitive 5K community run held alongside the 20th edition of Borneo Jazz in Miri. The run is part of the festival's "Beyond Jazz" programme, which expands the two-day music event into culture, community and healthy-lifestyle activities around Pullman Miri Waterfront.
The 5K starts and finishes at the Pullman Miri Waterfront area. Flag-off is at 06:30 MYT on Saturday, 5 December, with participant reporting from 05:30 and a pre-run Zumba session scheduled for 06:10. The organiser describes the waterfront course as flat with negligible elevation gain, heading from Miri Waterfront towards the Marina Bay area before returning to the hotel. The published route graphic also marks a water station and a checkpoint.
The event is open to all ages and is designed for runners, joggers and walkers rather than competitive racing. Participants must follow the designated course and marshal instructions, and the organiser may delay, modify, suspend or cancel the run if weather or other conditions create a safety risk. Medical personnel and event marshals are part of the published safety plan.
Race-pack collection is scheduled at the Pullman Miri Waterfront lobby on 3 and 4 December from 12:00 to 19:00. There is no race-day collection. The official bib is also used for the post-run lucky draw, and winners must be present with the physical bib to claim a prize.
