Event Detail
Gempak Starz Fun Run 2026 brings Kadokawa Gempak Starz's comic characters into a community running event in central Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, 6 December 2026. The organiser is staging the event with DBKL Car Free Morning and describes it as Malaysia's first relaxed reading-themed fun run, combining an accessible morning run with the publisher's comic and character culture.
The current registration artwork lists 3K, 5K and 7K routes, all based at Dataran DBKL beside Kuala Lumpur City Hall on Jalan Raja Laut. The event programme begins at 7:00am MYT. Because current organiser material does not publish separate category flag-off times, ARC records the verified overall event start rather than inventing individual gun times.
Registration opened on 15 July and is scheduled to close on 2 November 2026. Current-edition organiser posts confirm that finishers receive a themed medal, with the medal differentiated by race category. The event is designed as a participatory fun run rather than a championship race, and it is linked to the traffic-free KL Car Free Morning setting around the city centre.
The organiser has promoted additional race-kit and route information through current-edition artwork, but a fully text-verifiable race-pack collection timetable, detailed course map, cut-off schedule and complete current fee table are not available in the accessible source material. Those fields are therefore left unset rather than copied from ambiguous graphics or earlier posts. Participants should check the live CheckPointSpot registration page and Gempak Starz social channels for final race-week instructions.
