iCare RX Charity Run Taiping 2027

iCare RX Charity Run Taiping 2027 is a conservation-focused community race at Zoo Taiping, organised by iCare Pharmacy Taiping under the “Hope in Motion” and “Save Our Sun Bear, Save Our Heritage” themes. The programme combines competitive road running with a family-friendly walk and uses the zoo and Taiping’s historic lake-garden precinct as its setting.

The 10km course starts and finishes at Zoo Taiping and follows a broad heritage circuit past the Taiping War Cemetery, Taiping Prison, Perak Museum, All Saints’ Church, Padang Esplanade, the Malay Mosque, Raintree Walk and the Taiping Lake Chinese Bridge. The shorter 5km course shares the zoo start and highlights the war cemetery, lake gardens, Chinese bridge and Raintree Walk. Official maps mark water support on both road courses and medical support on the 10km route.

Race-day format

• 10km: flag-off at 6:45am; two-hour cut-off.
• 5km: flag-off at 7:00am; 1.5-hour cut-off.
• 2.5km Fun Walk: flag-off at 7:30am; one-hour cut-off. This loop stays within Zoo Taiping and is themed around native and international wildlife exhibits.
• Competitive 5km and 10km divisions are split into men’s and women’s open categories for ages 13–39 and veteran categories for runners aged 40 and over. The 2.5km walk is open to adults and children.

The organiser’s current artwork lists cash awards for the first five runners in each competitive division and trophies through tenth place, while all finishers who complete their category are eligible for the event medal and distance-specific lanyard. The official runner shirt carries the sun-bear conservation design.

Runners should note that the registration page currently displays race-pack collection dates in December 2026 that appear inconsistent with the 3 January 2027 race date. Participants should recheck the organiser’s page or official Facebook account for a corrected collection schedule before travelling.
