KLHalf 2026

KLHalf 2026 is a dedicated half-marathon event built around a single 21K race in central Kuala Lumpur. Organised by SCORE Sports Management, it returns to Dataran Merdeka on Sunday, 15 November 2026 with a published capacity of 8,000 runners. The 2026 route has been officially measured to AIMS standards, and current organiser material describes a course that runs from the historic square through Bukit Tunku and central Kuala Lumpur before returning to the finish.

The race starts at 4:30am MYT and has a 4 hour 30 minute cut-off measured from gun time. Runners who miss the cut-off are not eligible for finisher entitlements. The event is open to runners aged 16 and above. A complimentary baggage check-in area is planned at the race village, and participants are advised to arrive early enough to deposit belongings before entering the start pen.

KLHalf also includes a competitive High Performance category. Entry to that start pen is by application and verification of qualifying results from an approved measured road race. Only runners accepted into the High Performance category and starting from its designated pen are eligible for overall podium prize money. Open and Veteran men's and women's winners are determined by gun time, while net time is used for broader individual ranking.

The 2026 edition also includes a Quad Challenge for teams of four. Each team must include at least one woman and at least two Malaysian citizens, with every member completing the official 21K course. Team ranking is based on combined net time, with a 10-hour combined limit. The published Quad Challenge cash-prize pool totals RM10,000.

Registration closed on 30 September 2026, or earlier if the 8,000-participant capacity was reached. Race Entry Pack Collection is scheduled for 13 and 14 November. The venue is still to be announced, and every runner must collect in person with the required identity verification. No third-party, bulk, postal or race-day collection is permitted.
