Event Detail
MAIDAM Waqf Run 2026 is a community 5K organised by Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Terengganu (MAIDAM) to combine running with direct support for waqf. The organiser states that 100% of each entry fee is channelled to waqf, and the physical event is capped at 2,000 participants. It follows MAIDAM's earlier waqf-focused participation programme, including the official 2024 Run & Walk for Waqf, which raised RM50,000 with 1,000 participants.
The physical run takes place at Taman Tamadun Islam in Kuala Terengganu on Saturday, 14 November 2026, with an 08:00 MYT flag-off. Current route artwork shows a 5K loop from the Taman Tamadun Islam and Crystal Mosque precinct through the Kuala Terengganu riverfront and Losong area before returning to the event precinct. On-site runners receive water-station support and finish-line refreshments.
A virtual 5K option is offered under the same event for participants who prefer to complete the distance elsewhere. Both physical and virtual entry are open to men and women aged 5 to 100. Virtual participants receive their race kit by post, while physical participants may collect their kit at Taman Tamadun Islam on 13 November or choose paid postal delivery.
MAIDAM is supported for this edition by KMI Healthcare, Perbadanan Wakaf Nasional Berhad and Taman Tamadun Islam, with the Terengganu Marathon team listed as the technical running partner. No competitive prize structure or formal cut-off time is published in the current event information.
