New Year Run Taiping 2027

New Year Run Taiping 2027 is a community 5K staged at AEON Mall Taiping on Sunday, 24 January. Organised by Oriental Global Event Management, it is one of several New Year Run rounds in northern Peninsular Malaysia, with each city held on its own date and at its own venue. The Taiping programme is open to runners joining for a social start to the year rather than a separately published competitive division.

Race morning begins at 6:45am, followed by a warm-up at 7:00am and the all-runners flag-off at 7:30am. The organiser expects the first participant back from about 8:00am, then schedules a Zumba session at 8:15am, a lucky draw at 9:00am and the close of the programme at 9:30am. The itinerary is subject to change.

Current registration material lists an event jersey and finisher medal for participants. Super Early Bird entries are limited to the first 100 registrations, followed by an Early Bird allocation while available. Registration is scheduled to close at 11:59pm MYT on 23 January 2027. A confirmed route map, course cut-off, timing method and race-pack collection date, time and venue have not yet been published, so entrants should check the live event page before race week.
