Pekula Trail Challenge 2026

Pekula Trail Challenge 2026 brings four trail-running distances to Bukit H in Sungai Petani, Kedah, on Saturday, 26 December 2026. The programme spans the 5K Pondok Sarapan, 8K Rabbit, 15K Kuda Kepang and 25K Crystal categories. The organiser publishes an overall event window of 7:00am to 2:00pm MYT. Individual category flag-off times and cut-off times are still marked TBC in the current race information, so those details have not been guessed.

Current course information lists approximate elevation gain of 150m for the 5K, 400m for the 8K, 900m for the 15K and 1,300m for the 25K. The 25K Crystal course is independently listed by ITRA at 24.97km with 1,366m of ascent and 1,366m of descent. This gives runners a useful indication of the repeated climbing involved on the longer course around Bukit H.

Registration is open through Howei and is scheduled to close on 26 November 2026, or earlier if available places are filled. Published entry fees use Super Early Bird, Early Bird and Normal phases. The 5K is RM40, RM45 and RM50; the 8K is RM70, RM80 and RM100; the 15K is RM100, RM120 and RM150; and the 25K is RM120, RM150 and RM180.

The current entitlement matrix confirms an event tee, finisher medal, bib number, insurance, e-certificate, medical support and refreshments for all four distances. Timing chips are included for the 8K, 15K and 25K. The 15K and 25K also include finisher tees and prize eligibility.

Race-pack collection arrangements, individual flag-offs and final cut-offs are not yet published in the current organiser material. Runners should therefore check the live organiser and registration pages closer to race day for those operational details.
