Event Detail
The Aspen-Klippa Penang Bridge International Marathon 2025 took place on 14 December at Aspen Vision City, Batu Kawan. One of Malaysia's major running festivals, the event features full marathon, half marathon and shorter distance races across the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge precinct. The official organisers reported 23,000 participants in 2024 and targeted more than 25,000 in 2025, but the target should not be mistaken for a verified 2025 attendance figure. This is the historical 2025 edition.
2025 Results & Race Recap
The Aspen-Klippa Penang Bridge International Marathon 2025 was staged on Sunday 14 December 2025, using Aspen Vision City in Batu Kawan as the race hub. The festival offered the full 42K marathon, 21K half marathon and 10K, incorporating the iconic second Penang bridge corridor.
Best Malaysian marathon awards
Penang state news outlet Buletin Mutiara reported that Noor Amelia Musa won the Best Malaysian Women's Full Marathon award for the fourth time, having also taken the title in 2019, 2022 and 2023. She received a reported RM5,000 first-place prize. The same report identifies Haziq as retaining the Best Malaysian men's title.
Noor Amelia's achievement was especially notable because the news report says she arrived after racing and winning a women's 21K event in Putrajaya the previous night, with only around two and a half hours' sleep. This account is attributed to contemporary reporting, not a training recommendation.
Where to find every 2025 result
The official Penang Bridge International Marathon website publishes dedicated 10K, 21K and 42K category results in PDF format, plus separate Best Malaysian Half Marathon and Best Malaysian Full Marathon files. Rather than reconstruct unverified podiums from news snippets, ARC links directly to the organisers' searchable race-history resources.
Event size and context
The organisers previously reported 23,000 participants in 2024 and a target exceeding 25,000 for 2025. A target is not evidence of actual attendance; ARC does not treat it as a verified 2025 finisher count. This long-running international event attracts visiting runners to Penang and provides an unusual large-bridge road-running setting.
