Event Detail
Route 68 Ultra is an established Malaysian road ultramarathon staged from the Orang Asli community at KM24 in Gombak, Selangor. Rather than a conventional city-road course, the event sends runners onto remote, hilly roads surrounded by forest, making sustained climbing, heat management and night running central parts of the challenge. The organiser describes approximately 1,900 metres of elevation gain on the route.
The 2027 programme spans 16–17 January for the principal race weekend and includes 168K, 100K, 84K, 50K and 30K solo options, alongside an Ekiden team format. The event is designed as a serious endurance challenge: all categories require a reflective vest and personal hydration capacity, while a headlamp, blinker and other night-safety equipment are compulsory during the published night-time window. Participants must also keep a mobile phone switched on and reachable, and mandatory-gear checks may be conducted during the race.
The race village is at Dewan Serbaguna Komuniti Orang Asli KM24, Gombak. Bag deposit is available there for all runners, with an additional checkpoint drop-bag service published for the longer ultra categories. Access is a practical consideration because roads approaching the race site are narrow and on-site parking is limited. The organiser offers a paid two-way shuttle from NU Sentral in Kuala Lumpur to the race site.
Race Entry Pack Collection is scheduled for 9–10 January from 11:00 to 18:00, with the venue still to be announced. International and outstation runners also have a collection arrangement at the race village during race weekend. Runners collecting for somebody else must bring the organiser's authorisation documentation.
