Semenyih Ultra Marathon 2027 - Selangor

Semenyih Ultra Marathon 2027 brings endurance runners to the winding roads and wooded hills around Semenyih Dam in Selangor, Malaysia, over Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 July 2027. The organiser, Lumen Sports Sdn. Bhd., lists the Sungai Lalang Hot Spring area in Hulu Langat as the event venue. This is a road ultramarathon, not a conventional trail race, and its rural course offers dam and forest views alongside significant climbing and stretches of active public road.

Four races over a weekend

The current-edition organiser page confirms 100 km, 50 km, 21 km and 12 km categories, with the overall race programme running from 4:00 pm Saturday until 10:00 am Sunday (Malaysia time, UTC+8). The published graphic contains more detailed category timing and entry information; runners should confirm their individual flag-off, checkpoint cut-offs and exact entry fee directly in the current organiser material before registering. ARC's 21K selector is an approximate database grouping for the advertised 21 km category; the race is not described as an independently certified 21.0975 km half marathon.

Mandatory safety kit

Participants in the 100K and 50K must wear a reflective vest and carry an emergency blanket. A hydration bag or belt with at least 500–1,000 ml of water is required for 100K, 50K and 21K; it is strongly recommended for 12K. For categories running at night, a headlamp with spare battery and a blinking safety light are required during low visibility, with published guidance specifying 7:30 pm to 7:30 am. A switched-on and reachable mobile phone is required for every category. The organiser may conduct random gear checks and refuse further participation to runners missing mandatory items.

Course conduct, support and logistics

The race follows marked roads, and the organiser cautions that roads may remain open to vehicle traffic. Runners must keep to safe shoulders, yield to traffic and follow marshals. Shortcuts, unauthorised pacers and aid outside official support arrangements can result in disqualification. The organiser states that medical stations and event insurance are provided, subject to published terms. Bag deposit is available to all entrants, with an additional mid-course drop-bag option for 100K runners. The organiser's general rules prohibit littering and allow time penalties.

For race-pack collection, bring a digital confirmation or ID. A representative requires a printed letter of authorisation, with the indemnity form signed electronically at collection; missing required photocopies may incur a RM 2 printing charge. Exact collection dates and hours should be checked on the official current-edition programme. Event T-shirts, distance-specific finisher shirts and a finisher medal are pictured on the organiser site, but fees and category-specific entitlements have not yet been independently transcribed from its image-based tables and should not be guessed.

Before you register

The organiser's current page clearly advertises 2027 dates, but its visible registration button was found pointing to a legacy SUL26 short link. Confirm that the checkout names Semenyih Ultra 2027 before paying. In accordance with its rules, entry is confirmed only following payment and issue of a race identification number; changes, weather disruptions and refunds are subject to the published terms. The marker used by ARC is an approximate Sungai Lalang area point, not a verified GPS coordinate for the 2027 start arch.
