EastWest Dream Run 2026 - Cagayan de Oro

EastWest Dream Run 2026 visits Cagayan de Oro on Sunday 18 October 2026, bringing the national running series to Northern Mindanao. This is the third stop in a four-city programme organised by RUNRIO for EastWest Bank. The earlier Manila and Iloilo legs drew more than 9,000 participants combined, according to EastWest's September announcement. The CDO edition is based at Limketkai Center, with a mix of timed running and family-friendly participation options.

Races and race-day format

The programme offers a 21K half marathon, 10K, 5K, 3K group-of-four run and 1K dog run. The shorter categories provide alternatives for families and newer runners, while the 21K is the principal endurance distance. The organiser's registration listing shows 3:00 am Philippine time as the event start, but this should not be interpreted as the confirmed gun time for every category. Runners should check their assigned flag-off and corral instructions in the latest organiser communication.

Race bibs incorporate timing devices. Participants must display their bibs on the front, follow marshals and official course directions, and reach the starting corral before it closes. The published race mechanics warn that runners starting more than 15 minutes after their category's flag-off may be disqualified. A baggage-deposit service is described in the organiser's FAQ; allow extra time to leave and retrieve belongings.

Participants and practical arrangements

The organiser's rules set minimum ages of 16 for the 10K, 12 for the 5K and seven for the 3K group category; runners under 18 need parental or guardian consent. For the 1K dog category, handlers must be at least 18 and dogs at least six months old. Participants should review the full rules before registering, particularly for the group and dog categories.

The event village is planned to include partner booths, promotions, raffles and giveaways. Announced participant items include a race singlet, bib, finisher medal, loot bag and towel, with an additional finisher shirt for 21K finishers and a dog bandana for the dog-run category. Group-registration promotions and an EastWest cardholder rebate were also advertised, subject to their terms.

Limketkai Center is a large commercial complex in Cagayan de Oro, so it offers a recognisable meeting point, but the precise start corral, individual wave times, final route maps, race-pack collection timetable and current entry fees should be confirmed directly with RUNRIO before travel. The venue coordinates supplied here identify the wider Limketkai complex, not a surveyed start-line position.
