Hungduan Ultra Trail Marathon Ifugao 2027

The Hungduan Ultra Trail Marathon 2027 (HUTM) is a mountain-running event in Hungduan, Ifugao, in the Cordillera highlands of the northern Philippines. Its inaugural programme showcases trails that the local Hungduan Trail Keepers describe as previously unraced, offering runners an encounter with the area's mountain environment and living Ifugao heritage.

Trail and cultural setting

The organiser advertises 50 kilometres of off-road trail, explicitly describing the route as 100% trails, with no roads or highways. Expect rugged mountain paths, wooded sections, river crossings and terrain around the celebrated rice-terrace landscape. The local initiative aims to introduce these routes responsibly while supporting community interest in tourism and trail stewardship. The race also coincides with Tungoh ad Hungduan, the municipality's cultural celebrations, giving travelling runners a compelling reason to learn about local traditions beyond race day.

Programme and entries

The published programme sets the 50K start for Sunday, 18 April 2027, at 4:30 am Philippine time, with Hungduan Municipal Hall named as the event location. The registration provider advertises an entry cost of ₱3,500, including an event T-shirt and singlet, and lists a maximum of 100 places. Registration was marked closed when checked on 20 October 2026; prospective participants should not presume that new applications are accepted.

Planning for the mountains

The exact 2027 GPX course, elevation gain, checkpoint locations, cut-off schedule, mandatory kit and emergency rules have not been verified. The registration page's 5:30 am 'end' display is implausibly early for a mountainous 50K, so it should not be treated as an official cut-off. Check directly with the organisers for the definitive timetable, safety briefing and race-pack collection details before travel. The Cordillera highlands can present challenging footing and variable conditions; entrants should prepare for technical trail running rather than an ordinary road race.

The edition, start time, fees and entry status are drawn from the event's live Race Link PH registration page.
