Event Detail
PalawanPay Trilogy Marathon - Palawan 2026 brings the nationwide PalawanPay running series to Puerto Princesa on Sunday, 18 October 2026. Organised with RUNRIO and the UP Office for Athletics and Sports Development, the event combines road racing with a charitable goal: helping fund fully equipped ambulances for underserved communities in Aklan and South Cotabato. The Palawan stage follows the Cebu race on 27 September, which attracted more than 1,800 participants, and precedes the scheduled Manila stage on 28 November. It also builds on PalawanPay's previous running activities in Puerto Princesa.
The Palawan programme has five race distances: 42K marathon, 21K half marathon, 16K, 10K and 5K. Balayong People's Park is identified in the official registration FAQ as the event area, although the precise starting line and complete 2026 course maps have not yet been published in the accessible race guidance. The race registration page lists midnight at the start of 18 October as its event time; this should not be interpreted as a confirmed flag-off for every category. Runners should consult the organiser's final schedule for their own assembly and starting times.
Race-day arrangements
RUNRIO's Palawan-specific race rules provide for bib-mounted electronic timing, with net times recorded for participants and gun times used to determine top finishers. Runners must begin within 15 minutes of their category's official start to remain eligible for a result. The published minimum ages are 18 for the marathon and half marathon, 16 for the 16K and 10K, and 13 for the 5K. Under-18 participants require parental or guardian consent.
Organiser guidance describes hydration points approximately every 2 to 2.5 kilometres, offering water and sports drinks, with bananas for longer distances. Medical personnel are planned along the course and at the start and finish. Runners must stay within the marked route, follow marshals' instructions and dispose of rubbish responsibly. Official results and downloadable certificates are expected online after race day, with the organiser indicating a one-to-two-day results window.
Registration and preparation
Online entry is handled through Race Roster. The organiser's current Palawan promotional artwork lists all five distance fees. The 16K costs PHP 1,500, while the other distances appear in the entry-fee cards. Processing and web-administration charges are additional. Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Race kits include an event singlet and timing bib; published finisher materials include medals, towels and bags, with additional finisher shirts shown for the marathon and half marathon.
Race-kit collection arrangements are to be communicated by email, SMS or official social channels. There is no race-day kit collection. Participants should bring the required registration confirmation and identification. The exact course, individual cut-offs, road closures and parking arrangements should be checked again before travelling.
