McDonald's Stripes Run 2026 - Manila (Purple Edition)

McDonald's Stripes Run returns to Metro Manila on Sunday, 6 December 2026 as the Manila finale of its 2026 Purple Edition. Marking 15 years of the Philippine Stripes Run, this national charity programme also visits Clark, Cebu and Davao. The Manila event is organised with RUNRIO and supports Ronald McDonald House Philippines and programmes assisting families whose children are receiving medical care. The emphasis is on family participation and fundraising rather than a formally chip-timed race.

The start and race village are at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City, beside Manila Bay. Manila has the widest programme in the series, including an exclusive 15K Purple Stripes race, plus 10K, 5K, 3K and several 1K options. There is a 3K family entry for two adults and two children, a 1K Duo option for a child and accompanying adult, and a separate 1K Fur Stripes category for runners with dogs. The organiser's current Manila category chart lists a staggered early-morning programme from 4:00 am for the 15K to 6:30 am for the dog run. The chart labels gun times as subject to confirmation, so participants should check the final race advisory.

The 15K, 10K, 5K, 3K individual and 1K individual entries are listed for runners aged 16 and above; the family and duo formats make provision for younger children accompanied by adults. Dogs in Fur Stripes must be on leads and have current vaccination records or a veterinary fitness clearance. The event is described as non-competitive and does not use chip timing, although organisers will recognise the first three male and female finishers in eligible categories.

Online registration began on 25 September 2026 and continues while places remain available. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Race kits are normally delivered by courier during November, with additional delivery and processing fees depending on destination. Manila runners whose kits were not delivered may collect them at the event site on Saturday, 5 December, 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On race day, runners should bring their bib and use the meal stub to claim their breakfast and finisher entitlements.

Participant items include the Purple Edition dri-fit shirt, race socks, bib, route information and finisher items, with a dedicated dog medal for the pet category. The race village provides baggage counters, changing tents and portable toilets. Parts of the surrounding road network will be closed; the organiser advises checking the official road and route notices closer to the event.
