2026 Garmin Run Marathon Series - Korea

Garmin Run Marathon Series - Korea returns for its second Korean edition on Sunday, 15 November 2026, with Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi-do as the event base. Garmin's first Korean race in 2025 drew about 3,000 runners and sold out its main entry allocation within minutes. For 2026 the event grows substantially to 12,000 places and shifts to a 10K and half-marathon programme, making it one of the larger stops in Garmin's international running series.

The half marathon is the headline race with 8,500 places. Runners assemble from 07:00 KST and start at 08:00, with a 2 hour 30 minute limit. Entrants must be at least 18 years old. The 10K has 3,500 places, a 07:20 assembly time, 08:20 start and 1 hour 30 minute limit, with a minimum age of 14. Garmin also publishes predicted-finish-time start groups: the half marathon uses thresholds around 1:30, 1:50 and 2:10, while the 10K groups are based around 45 and 55 minutes. Transfers of entries are not permitted.

Main registration used a lottery from 1 to 3 July 2026, with successful applicants announced on 7 July and payment due by 9 July. A separate Forerunner Special Package entry channel ran through 10 July. Public registration is therefore closed. A September SK Telecom promotion is still distributing a limited number of invitation entries, which confirms the current edition remains active, but those places are not ordinary public registration.

Race packs are not being collected at an expo. Garmin's FAQ says participant packs will be sent to registered addresses from late October, with the final address-change deadline on 30 September. The official site publishes current-edition apparel, medal and sponsor entitlements, and requires the event shirt to be worn on race day.

This race is part of Garmin's 2022-2027 Marathon Series. Runners who complete 10 of the 13 designated series cities across Asia and the United States can apply for a personalised 18K gold-plated series medal. Detailed street-by-street course information is not yet available in a sufficiently clear text source, so ARC has not invented route landmarks or elevation claims.
