14th Tainan Autumn Marathon 2026

The 14th Tainan Autumn Marathon returns to the historic Luermen Tianhou Temple in Annan District on Sunday 29 November 2026. This established autumn road-running event starts from the temple forecourt, an unusual setting for a full marathon, half marathon and shorter community races. The venue is No. 136, Mazugong 1st Street, on the western side of Tainan.

Four genuine race distances

The 2026 organiser information lists a 42.195 km marathon, 21 km half marathon, 13 km short race and 6 km mini race. The full marathon is scheduled to start at 06:00, followed by the half at 06:10, 13 km at 06:20, and 6 km at 06:30, all Taiwan local time. Published time limits are seven hours, four hours, two hours and 90 minutes, respectively. Each group has an advertised cap of 1,000 participants. ARC's current distance selector does not include 13 km or 6 km, so those genuine categories are identified here rather than falsely relabelled as 15 km or 5 km.

Historic coastal route

The advertised route links the Mazu temple area with historic sites associated with Tainan's coastal defences, including the Fucheng Tianxian fortress remains. The longer course descriptions also reference the Sicao Bridge area. Runners can expect an open, low-lying west-coast landscape near waterways and wetlands, rather than a mountainous course. Consult the final organiser route map for the precise turns, road closures and assistance locations; these can change before race day.

Registration and planning

Published 2026 entry fees are NT$1,400 for the marathon, NT$1,250 for the half, NT$1,100 for 13 km and NT$900 for 6 km. There is an additional NT$100 refundable timing-chip deposit. The organiser uses the 伊貝特 / bao-ming.com online system. An organiser announcement on 29 September advanced the entry deadline to 15 October 2026, overriding previously advertised 18 October information; prospective runners should not assume entries remain open.

Because the start is early and the temple is outside central Tainan, participants should plan transport and arrival well in advance, confirm any shuttle provision and check official instructions for race-pack pickup. Warm, humid conditions can still occur in southern Taiwan during late November, so review the organiser's final hydration and medical notices.
