Event Detail
The 2026 NS RUN Nanshan Life Half Marathon is the third edition of Nanshan Life's expanding Taipei road-running event and the first edition promoted with an AIMS-certified half-marathon course. The event has grown beyond its earlier city-run format into a major 21K, 10K and 3K programme, with the current official quotas allowing up to 14,000 entries across six divisions.
The half marathon and 10K start from the Presidential Office / Ketagalan Boulevard precinct and finish at Dajia Riverside Park. The 21.0975K course heads east along Ren'ai Road, uses the Xinsheng elevated roadway, then moves through Beian Road, Mingshui Road and Lequn 1st Road before entering the Keelung River riverside parks. Runners continue through Meiti, Rainbow, Guanshan and Yingfeng riverside sections before finishing near Dazhi Bridge. The 10K follows a shorter city-to-riverside route and also finishes at Dajia Riverside Park. The 3K starts and finishes within the Dajia Riverside Park area.
A distinctive feature is the "Women First" format. Women in the half marathon start at 05:30, ten minutes before the open competition wave at 05:40. The 10K follows the same concept, with women starting at 05:55 and the competition wave at 06:05. The 3K run and walk begin at 09:00. Course limits are four hours for the half marathon, two hours for 10K and 60 minutes for 3K. The 3K is untimed, while the longer races use timing chips.
The event also introduces the NS RUN 100 honour roll, recognising the top 50 men and top 50 women in the half marathon with future-entry and priority-start benefits. Elite runners meeting published qualifying standards can apply for reserved front-start positioning, and visually impaired runners may compete with approved guide runners under dedicated rules.
Race materials are delivered rather than collected at an expo. The organiser plans to dispatch bibs, shirts and timing chips from 9 November within Taiwan; overseas runners are instructed to nominate accommodation able to receive the package. Registration was extended to 30 September 2026, subject to category capacity.
