Garmin Run Marathon Series 2026 - Taipei returns to Dajia Riverside Park on Sunday, 29 November for the fifth Taipei edition of Garmin's flagship mass-participation running event. The 2026 series has expanded beyond its Asian roots into a 13-city programme spanning Asia and the United States, while Taipei remains one of its biggest established stops with 8,000 race places across the 21K, 10K and 5K categories.

Race morning uses staggered starts from the Mobile Dome Plaza at Dajia Riverside Park. The 21K begins at 05:00 and has a four-hour limit, the 10K starts at 05:30 with a two-hour limit, and the 5K leaves at 06:30 with 90 minutes to finish. All three races use disposable bib-mounted timing chips, with gun time used for official results.

The courses stay largely within Taipei's riverside park network beside the Keelung River. The 21K runs through Dajia, Yingfeng, Guanshan, Chengmei, Rainbow and Meiti riverside parks before returning via Dazhi Bridge to finish near the Dajia dragon-boat stands. The 10K uses a shorter out-and-back through Dajia, Yingfeng and Guanshan, while the 5K turns near Chengde Bridge and finishes back at the main event area. Organisers note that Dajia Riverside Park reconstruction works may require race-day route adjustments.

Registration closed on 23 June after a staged release covering overseas, performance-equipment and general entries. Taiwan-address participants receive race materials by courier before race week, while entrants with non-Taiwan addresses must collect their materials at the venue on race day. Free event shuttles are scheduled from MRT Yuanshan Station, and baggage storage operates at the venue from 04:00 to 09:30.

The Taipei event also includes a post-race concert programme and uses Garmin's MYLAPS timing technology. Finishers receive the current-edition medal, designed around a Garmin Connect badge motif with a Taiwan plum-blossom ribbon, plus distance-specific participant and finisher items.
