Event Detail
The Standard Chartered Taipei Charity Marathon 2027 takes place on Sunday, 10 January 2027 and continues one of Taiwan's best-established charity road-race programmes. The event began in 2013, is certified by AIMS and World Athletics, and since 2026 has been an Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group World Rankings qualifying race. It is also part of Standard Chartered's global running series. The organiser says cumulative donations connected with the event have exceeded TWD 144 million.
The 2027 programme offers Marathon, Half Marathon, 12K and 3K Fun Run categories with a combined official capacity of 26,500 runners. The Marathon, Half Marathon and 12K start from the Presidential Office Plaza on Ketagalan Boulevard, while the 3K starts at Dajia Riverside Park. All categories finish in the Dajia Riverside Park area. The longer routes combine central Taipei streets, Zhongshan Bridge and extensive Keelung River riverside sections. The organiser notes that sections around Dajia Riverside Park may still be adjusted because of ongoing redevelopment works, so runners should recheck the final route before race day.
Official flag-off times are 05:00 for the Marathon, 05:20 for the Half Marathon, 06:15 for the 12K and 09:30 for the 3K. Time limits are six hours, three hours 30 minutes, two hours and 30 minutes respectively. Electronic timing is used for the Marathon, Half Marathon and 12K, while the 3K is untimed. Participants starting more than 15 minutes after their scheduled gun may be prevented from starting or have no official result.
General registration runs until 16:00 on 30 October 2026, or earlier if quotas are filled. Race packs can be delivered within Taiwan, or collected in person at the Taipei Stadium Call Rooms 134 and 135 from 7 to 9 January 2027. There is no race-day packet collection. Marathon and Half Marathon runners receive an official race singlet; 12K and 3K runners receive an official T-shirt. Finishers are eligible for event medals, digital certificates and other published finisher items.
The event is organised by the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association and combines competitive racing with a strong charity focus, including support for visually impaired runners and disadvantaged young people.
