Event Detail
The 2026 Taipei Marathon takes place on Sunday, 20 December 2026. Both the Marathon and Half Marathon start at Taipei City Hall Plaza. The Marathon starts at 06:30, finishes at Taipei Stadium and has a 5 hour 30 minute limit. The Half Marathon starts at 07:00, finishes on Nanjing East Road Section 4 and has a 3 hour limit.
The Marathon field is capped at 9,000 and the Half Marathon at 19,000. General registration was allocated by lottery and is now closed. Official race fees are NT$2,200 for the Marathon and NT$1,600 for the Half Marathon.
In-person runner check-in is at the Marathon Sports Expo, Expo Dome, from 17–18 December, 13:00–20:00, and 19 December, 11:00–18:00. There is no race-day packet collection. Standard participant benefits include an adidas Taipei Marathon commemorative shirt, timing chip, bib, digital race programme, finisher towel, finisher medal, benefit pack and refreshments; Marathon finishers also receive an adidas finisher shirt.

Prizes
Marathon overall prizes: USD 90,000 first place when the course record is not broken, USD 40,000 second, USD 20,000 third, with a USD 100,000 first-place award for a course-record performance. Half Marathon overall prizes: NT$25,000 / NT$15,000 / NT$10,000 for first / second / third.
