Event Detail

XinWu Half Marathon 2026 is the annual road-running event based at the Taoyuan Agricultural Expo site in Xinwu District, a rural and coastal part of Taoyuan known for rice farming, fishing communities and Hakka culture. The race is listed by AIMS and the 2026 programme has 12,000 places across the half marathon, 10K and 3K, with 3,500 places in the 21K, 5,000 in the 10K and 3,500 in the 3K.

The longer routes are designed around Xinwu's local landscape rather than a closed stadium-style circuit. Organiser material highlights golden rice paddies, coastal wind turbines, the blue shoreline, greenway sections, Xinwu's Hakka fishing harbour and the large bronze Mazu statue at Xinwu Tianhou Temple. Local food and community cheering are also part of the course experience. The event hub and start area are at the Taoyuan Agricultural Expo grounds.

The half marathon starts at 06:00, followed by the 10K at 06:15 and 3K at 06:30. Published limits are 3 hours 30 minutes for the 21K, 2 hours for the 10K and 1 hour for the 3K. Baggage service opens at 05:00 and runs until 10:00 for the timed 21K and 10K races; there is no baggage service for the 3K.

The 21K is for runners aged 18 or older. The 10K is open from age 10, with parental consent required for entrants under 18, while younger children in the 3K must be accompanied by an adult where required by the organiser. Chip timing is used for the 21K and 10K.

Registration is closed for the 2026 edition. Domestic participants are due to receive race materials by post one to two weeks before race day, so there is no standard race-day collection for them. Overseas participants are instructed to collect their materials from the event service desk before their race. Runners should follow the organiser's current notices for any late operational changes.
