Event Detail
Regina Coeli x Butterbear Fun Run Chiang Mai 2026 is an afternoon community charity run organised by the Regina Coeli Alumni Association of Chiang Mai. Held on Sunday 8 November at Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organisation Park, the event brings families, children, alumni and Butterbear fans together for a fun run themed Run for Love. The organiser says part of the event proceeds will benefit the Suan Dok Hospital Foundation, supporting healthcare-related charitable work.
Course and programme
The official 2026 course maps show separate 3 km and 5 km loops within the public park, including marked start/finish, water stations and first-aid points. The published route illustrations show two circuits for each of the two distances. The afternoon programme opens at 3:00 pm, followed by an opening ceremony at 4:15 pm, a charity presentation at 4:25 pm and group warm-up at 4:40 pm. The fun run starts at 5:00 pm Thailand time, with a mini-concert from approximately 6:00 pm and event conclusion around 8:00 pm. The exact programme may be adjusted by the organiser.
Entry options and participation
The official organiser site advertises standard 3K and 5K entries at THB 499 and separate VIP charity entries at THB 1,999. Standard in-person packages include an event shirt, bib, Butterbear-themed finisher medal, food and drink and group accident insurance. VIP packages add limited-edition Legacy Tote and Aurora Foldable bags. There are also virtual and virtual VIP options for people who cannot attend, but they are not part of the physical 3K/5K start. Keep your original registration confirmation and make sure the name and other details are correct, since the organiser says insurance applies only to accurate participant information.
Registration and current information
The organiser uses a second-stage Checkrace registration system, with an earlier first-stage application platform for people who registered on 1–3 July. Registration is closed/full on the current authorised Checkrace page. Earlier promotional artwork mentioned a 15 August deadline, but the current booking page shows that the later registration window has also ended. Existing entrants should confirm their entry and race-pack collection arrangements directly with the organiser before travelling. The organiser's original site provides programme graphics, route maps, race-pack examples, sizing charts, answers to registration questions and links to its official Facebook contact page. Any collection location or time not explicitly announced should not be assumed.
