Thatphanom 10 Nakhon Phanom 2026

Thatphanom 10 2026 brings runners to the historic Mekong riverside town of That Phanom in Nakhon Phanom province on Sunday 6 December 2026. Organised by the Rim Bueng That Phanom Running Team, the event assembles at the forecourt of Wat Phra That Phanom, near the old stupa, and combines a timed 10K mini marathon with 5K fun and family running.

Course and race morning

The organiser has published a 10K route map showing an out-and-back course running north from the temple precinct towards the Mekong riverfront, with indicated water and sports-drink points and a fruit stop. The 5K route is also part of the official event information. The overall programme runs 05:00–08:30 (Thailand time), but separate confirmed gun times for the 5K and 10K have not yet been published. Entrants should consult the final organiser instructions for assembly, road closures and race-day cut-offs.

Entry categories and price periods

The organiser offers 5K fun run, 10K mini marathon, family 5K (three people) and a VIP entry. The official fee graphic shows a super-early period (25 August–5 September), early-bird period (6 September–31 October) and regular-price period (1–30 November 2026). Published regular prices are THB 500 for the 5K, THB 600 for the 10K, THB 1,000 for family 5K and THB 2,000 for VIP. The graphic also advertises THB 300 entries for children aged 15 or younger and adults aged 60 or older, regardless of distance. The regular-price period ending on 30 November does not independently confirm that all entry categories will remain available until that date; check stock and the actual payment deadline in the organiser's registration system.

Awards and inclusions

The published 5K awards pay THB 1,000, 700 and 500 for first, second and third overall, separately for men and women. The 10K overall male and female winners earn THB 5,000, 3,000 and 2,000 for the top three places; there are also advertised 10K age divisions. The family 5K recognises the top three families, and a separate fancy-dress prize recognises five placings. Entry-category inclusions differ: all illustrated standard distances include the event shirt, bib and medal, while the 10K and family 5K also have an e-certificate. VIP adds extra items, including a finisher shirt and souvenir.

Bib collection and travel

The organiser schedules bib collection for Saturday 5 December, 10:00–18:00, at the temple forecourt. Bring original identity documentation, a photocopy or a photograph on your phone. That Phanom is outside Nakhon Phanom city, so plan transport to the temple precinct and account for possible early-morning road restrictions.
