Event Detail
Ubon Marathon 2026 brings four road-running distances to the Huai Wang Nong lakeside area of Ubon Ratchathani on Sunday, 29 November. The event combines a pre-dawn endurance challenge with a community fundraising purpose: after operating expenses, proceeds are intended to support medical equipment for public-health services in the province. Ubon Ratchathani Municipality has acknowledged the event and its charitable aims.
Race programme
The organiser's 2026 registration material identifies a 42 km full marathon, 21 km half marathon, 10.5 km mini marathon and 3.5 km fun run. The original organiser announcement, reproduced by local running outlets, provides these scheduled local starts and cut-offs:
- 42 km: 03:00, seven-hour cut-off.
- 21 km: 05:00, four-hour cut-off.
- 10.5 km: 05:30, three-hour cut-off.
- 3.5 km: 05:45, two-hour cut-off.
The 42K and 21K race packages advertise finisher shirts. The organiser's registration page also displays participant shirt designs, medals, category-specific prizes, a timetable and course diagrams. Consult those original illustrations and the final organiser briefing for precise route turns and award eligibility.
Venue and race packs
The 2026 registration partner names Wat Mongkhon Kowitharam, Huai Wang Nong as the event venue and race-pack collection site. Bib and shirt collection is advertised for Saturday, 28 November, 10:00-18:00 Thailand time. Bring a government identity document; the registration page permits the original, a copy or a photo on your phone. The mapped location is the venue area, not a surveyed timing mat.
One secondary calendar instead labels Ubon Ratchathani City Pillar Shrine as the venue and rounds the 10.5K to 10K. This listing follows the organiser-linked 2026 registration page where those details conflict. Runners should check the organiser's current Facebook announcements for any late changes.
Entries and practical advice
The published online entry window was 15 July-30 September 2026, so registrations are marked closed. Advertised regular-period prices were THB 1,100 (42K), THB 800 (21K), THB 600 (10.5K) and THB 400 (3.5K), plus a THB 1,200 VIP option. The organisers advertised discounts for participants aged 60+ and for people with disabilities, subject to proof and reimbursement conditions at race-pack collection. Because registration has ended, those figures are historical entry rates rather than a promise that places are still available.
This is an early-morning tropical road race. Plan transport to the lakeside venue ahead of flag-off, follow the organiser's final hydration and route instructions and avoid assuming road access will remain unrestricted during the event.
