Bac Ninh Legacy Marathon 2027

Bac Ninh Legacy Marathon 2027 returns to the Kinh Bac Cultural Centre precinct on Sunday, 10 January, bringing four road-race distances to one of northern Vietnam's best-known cultural centres. The organiser positions the event as both a running festival and a way to experience the heritage of the Kinh Bac region. The previous edition in March 2026 drew 6,168 runners, more than double the inaugural field, giving the race meaningful regional scale.

The 2027 course is based on Ly Thai To Road directly in front of the Kinh Bac Cultural Centre, with the start and finish planned at the same central precinct. Organiser material describes the course as flat, open and free of bridges and significant slopes. The published route graphics take runners through central Bac Ninh streets and landmarks, with the longer races extending well beyond the immediate cultural-centre district before returning to the same finish area.

Race morning is staggered by distance. The 42K starts at 03:30, followed by the 21K at 05:00, the 10K at 06:30 and the 5K at 08:30. Current route graphics show limits of 6 hours 30 minutes for the marathon, 3 hours 30 minutes for the half marathon, two hours for 10K and 1 hour 30 minutes for 5K. Age minimums are 16 for the marathon and half marathon, 12 for 10K and five for 5K.

Race-kit collection is scheduled for Saturday, 9 January from 09:00 to 20:00 at the Kinh Bac Cultural Centre square. The organiser states that the kit includes the event running shirt and bib, and the race-day programme includes finisher-medal distribution for eligible finishers.

The event is organised by Zaha Vietnam. Current registration remains open on the official event page, with the displayed entry prices at VND 500,000 for 42K and 21K and VND 400,000 for 10K and 5K.
