Event Detail
VPBank Hanoi International Marathon 2026 is the seventh edition of VPBank’s annual international road race in the Vietnamese capital, scheduled for Sunday 18 October. The organiser describes it as an officially recognised annual international sporting event of Hanoi, while current 2026 partner material says about 12,000 runners are expected. The programme offers a 42.195 km marathon, 21.1 km half marathon, 10 km and 5 km.
All four races start in the Hoan Kiem Lake area and finish at Tran Nhan Tong Pedestrian Street, giving the event a central-Hanoi setting tied closely to the capital’s historic and cultural core. The organiser’s live event page has not yet published the final category flag-off timetable. A current registration-partner listing gives 02:00 for the marathon, 03:45 for the half marathon, 05:30 for 10K and 06:00 for 5K, but these times should be treated as provisional until the organiser publishes its final race-day guide.
There is also a current cut-off discrepancy between organiser pages. The event homepage advertises limits of six hours for 42K, three hours for 21K, two hours for 10K and 1.5 hours for 5K, while the detailed 2026 rules state 6h30 and 3h30 for the marathon and half marathon, two hours for 10K and one hour for 5K, measured after the final wave. Runners should therefore follow the final participant instructions when released.
Standard 2026 entry prices are VND 1,668,000 for 42K, VND 1,268,000 for 21K, VND 988,000 for 10K and VND 668,000 for 5K. The live event page currently marks the Standard allocation as sold out, although purchase buttons remain visible, so availability should be confirmed directly before purchase.
Race-kit collection is mandatory before race day. The rules require photo identification, confirmation email and QR code, and allow authorised proxy collection. Exact 2026 collection times and venue remain unpublished. Finishers receive a medal subject to the event conditions, with marathon finisher apparel also listed. Minimum ages are 18 for the marathon, 16 for the half marathon, 12 for 10K and 6 for 5K.
