The CORE 2 Thermal Sensor is a compact wearable aimed at runners and endurance athletes who want to track thermal strain during training and racing. Worn close to the torso using the supplied heart-rate-strap clip, it estimates core and skin temperature continuously and can show compatible metrics in the CORE app or on supported sports devices. CORE recommends pairing it with a heart-rate monitor for accurate use during exercise; the heart-rate monitor is sold separately.
The second-generation sensor weighs 8.6 g without its clip and measures 41.9 × 29.4 × 7.1 mm. It connects over Bluetooth Low Energy and ANT+, carries an IPX7 water-resistance rating, and charges through the included magnetic USB-C cable. CORE quotes five days of battery life, extending to as much as 30 days with standby mode enabled. The package also includes the removable strap clip and product guide.
This is a specialised training tool for monitoring heat response, not a medical thermometer or a substitute for normal heat-safety judgement. Compatibility with a particular watch, app or data field should be confirmed before purchase.
