The Garmin HRM 600 is a rechargeable chest-strap heart rate monitor for runners and multisport athletes who want detailed training data from a compatible device. It transmits real-time heart rate and heart-rate variability information and can supply running-dynamics metrics such as stride length, vertical oscillation and ground-contact-time balance when paired with supported Garmin watches.
The removable module can record an activity when a watch cannot be worn, then sync the workout to Garmin Connect. Garmin also states that compatible indoor-track and treadmill sessions can receive pace and distance data, while supported swimming activities can capture heart-rate information. Battery life is rated at up to two months per charge. A status LED assists with pairing and battery checks, and the removable textile strap is machine washable.
Two strap-size ranges are sold as variants of the same HRM 600 generation. Compatibility differs by Garmin device and feature, so check Garmin's current compatibility list before buying. The US$169.99 figure is Garmin's official suggested retail price, checked 23 October 2026.
