ARC research verdict
The Ultratrail FX.One adds a specialist trail-running option beyond shoes and headlamps. LEKI describes a fixed-length, foldable carbon pole with four sections, a push-button folding system and its Trail Shark grip with detachable mesh straps. The shaft diameters are listed as 16/14/14/14mm.
The standard Ultratrail FX.One is a model to compare for mountain training and racing where poles suit your route. This is a researched guide, not an ARC field test. No Asia-wide sales ranking or guaranteed performance gain is claimed.
Where it fits
Consider these poles when your running regularly involves substantial climbing and you already want to learn or use pole technique. Their folding format lets you carry them when the route no longer calls for pole plants.
On flat city runs, they are usually extra equipment to manage. Even on a mountain route, buying poles does not replace practising deployment, stowing and handling. Check your event's rules before purchasing: some courses restrict poles or specify how they must be carried.
Fit and carrying checks
Fixed length means you choose the working length at purchase; folding the sections is for storage, not on-the-move height adjustment. Use LEKI's sizing guidance and, if possible, try the appropriate length on a slope.
Check the mesh strap fit as well as pole length. Practise releasing the grip and folding the pole before relying on the process during a race. If you carry a vest or quiver, compare its attachment system with the folded poles rather than assuming every carrying setup is compatible.
The listed weight and folded length vary with pole length and generation. Regional sources show different figures, so compare the exact article number and size instead of using one weight for every version.
Model distinctions
Ultratrail FX.One SL and Superlite are different versions. Do not substitute their weight, shaft dimensions or price for the standard model reviewed here. Colours and available lengths belong within this model's options.
Buying in Asia
Adventure 21 Singapore has a verified product page for a pair, but it showed sold out when researched. Treat it as a regional reference and check for restocking; do not assume immediate availability. For Shopee Indonesia searches, confirm that the offer includes two poles, the correct straps and a genuine LEKI product.
