Maurten Gel 160 is a ready-to-use carbohydrate hydrogel designed for longer training sessions and endurance races. Each 65 g sachet provides 40 g of carbohydrate, equivalent to approximately 160 calories, in a glucose-to-fructose ratio of 1:0.8. It contains no caffeine.
The gel uses Maurten’s Hydrogel Technology and a short ingredient list: water, glucose, fructose, sodium alginate, gluconic acid and calcium carbonate. Maurten states that it contains no added flavours, colours, preservatives or sweeteners. Its thicker, low-flavour consistency is intended to be consumed directly from the tear-open sachet; water is not required to swallow it, although normal hydration remains important.
Gel 160 is sold here as a box of 12 servings. Runners should practise any fuelling plan during training and adjust intake to the length and intensity of the session rather than trying a new strategy on race day. The US$55 price is Maurten’s official US box price checked on 21 October 2026. The Amazon US and Australia buttons lead to exact Gel 160 product listings; availability and marketplace pricing can change.
