The On Cloudsurfer 3 is a neutral road-running shoe developed for everyday training, relaxed mileage and recovery runs. Its defining update is Surreal superfoam paired with a reworked CloudTec Phase midsole, designed to cushion landings and encourage smooth transitions through each stride.
An engineered warp-knit upper wraps the foot with a combination of soft comfort, breathability and structure. The new midsole geometry uses sequentially compressing cavities to create a rolling sensation underfoot, while the shoe's substantial cushioning suits runners who prefer a protective feel for steady road sessions. It is not intended as a specialist track spike or technical trail shoe.
On describes the standard fit as true to size, although runners who usually require a wider fit should try the shoe in person. A wider version is planned for 2027. Compared with a lightweight racing flat, this generously cushioned construction may feel less agile for very fast intervals.
