Event Detail

Angkor Trail 2027 takes place on Saturday, 23 January 2027 in Cambodia's Angkor Archaeological Park near Siem Reap. Formerly known as the Ultra-Trail d'Angkor, the event adopts the shorter Angkor Trail identity for its tenth edition while retaining its destination trail format through one of Asia's most recognisable heritage landscapes. The current programme includes the headline Angkor Ultra Trail 100K, Bayon Trail 64K, Marathon Trail 42.195K, Jungle Trail 32K, Naga Trail half marathon, Elephant Trail 10K and a 4K kids' race, plus non-timed walking and hiking options.

The earliest races start at 04:00 local time from the Terrace of the Elephants in Angkor Thom, with the 100K and 64K setting off together before dawn. The marathon starts at 06:00, the 32K at 07:00, and the Naga Trail and shorter races later in the morning. Organiser-validated course information lists limits of 21 hours 53 minutes for the headline ultra, 14 hours for 64K, 7 hours 53 minutes for the marathon, six hours for 32K, 3 hours 33 minutes for the half marathon and two hours for the timed 10K.

Courses combine jungle tracks, rice fields, sandy paths, villages and temple precincts. The longer races pass Buddhist temples, reservoirs and rural sections before returning towards Angkor Thom, while the shorter routes remain more concentrated within the archaeological park. Aid stations are published at regular intervals, with more substantial food available at key long-course points. Mandatory equipment varies by distance, including hydration capacity and night-running equipment for the longer races.

Registration is open. Current organiser pricing is EUR 179 for 100K, EUR 139 for 64K, EUR 129 for the marathon, EUR 112 for 32K, EUR 91 for the Naga Trail and EUR 49 for the timed 10K, with separate walking and kids' entries. A current registration partner lists 31 December 2026 as the closing date. Entry includes race access to the archaeological site, event apparel, refreshments, medical and safety support, and a commemorative medal. Finishers of the 100K, 64K and marathon also receive a 2027 finisher shirt. The top five men and women in the general classification of each timed race are scheduled to receive awards.

Race bib collection is listed for 21 January from 10:00 to 19:00 and 22 January from 09:00 to 20:00 at Angkor Paradise Hotel on National Road 6 in Siem Reap. Runners should monitor the organiser's final participant information in case operational details change before race week.
