2026 Huishang Bank Hefei Marathon

The 2026 Huishang Bank Hefei Marathon is one of Anhui's largest city road races, bringing a 30,000-runner field to Hefei on 8 November. The programme comprises 18,000 places in the 42.195 km marathon and 12,000 in the 21.0975 km half marathon, with both events beginning from Luogang Park at 07:30 local time.

The 2026 course has been revised to make the race flow more smoothly. Organiser briefings say the marathon removes three underpasses from the previous layout, while the half marathon removes one turnaround. From Luogang Park, runners head through southern Hefei and pass major city landmarks including the Anhui Science and Technology Museum, the Crossing-the-Yangtze Campaign Memorial Hall and Binhu National Forest Park before finishing at Hefei Sunac Land. The setting gives the event a distinctive mix of the former airport precinct, modern city development and lakeside scenery.

Entry used a ballot rather than first-come registration. Pre-registration ran from 20 August at 15:00 until 26 August at 17:00, with the first lottery result released on 30 August. Successful runners then had a short payment window, followed by a wait-list draw for unclaimed places. Entry fees were CNY 180 for the marathon and CNY 150 for the half marathon. Successful entrants must also complete the event's required medical-document process before race day.

Race materials and the event expo are scheduled for 5 to 7 November. Exact collection hours and venue details should be checked against the final organiser notice closer to race week. The 2026 participant shirt uses a technology-inspired design reflecting Hefei's science and innovation identity. The finisher medal incorporates the city's magnolia motif and an NFC-enabled ribbon that can link finishers to their race information. Runners should monitor the final official handbook for corral, baggage, aid-station and intermediate cut-off instructions.
