Event Detail
The 2026 Humen Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 27 December in Humen Town, Dongguan, Guangdong. The planned 21.0975 km road race starts at 7:30 am China Standard Time, with the start and finish at the east gate of Humen Park. Organisers have announced a field of 12,000 entrants and a single half-marathon distance.
Course and local character
Humen is a waterfront town in the Pearl River Delta, and the event uses running to showcase both its urban development and cultural heritage. Organiser publicity names Humen Avenue, Zhenyuan Bridge, Huandao Road and major local museums and historic landmarks among the features of the course. These provide a distinctive setting for a morning road race. Runners should check the final route map for the precise course alignment, road restrictions and support-station locations.
Registration and race preparation
The announced entry fee is CNY 168. Pre-registration opened on 15 October and is scheduled to close at 4:00 pm local time on 16 November. Entry is by ballot, with results expected in late November and refunds for unsuccessful applications. The organiser's registration platform should be consulted for up-to-date eligibility, confirmation steps and refund details. Entry availability can change, so runners should not assume that an application guarantees a place.
Organisers are also planning a programme of themed markets and related activities from 18 to 27 December across the town. This gives visitors time to explore local food, older streets and coastal attractions around race day. The 7:30 am start means runners should check travel arrangements and arrive with sufficient time for the start-area procedures.
Venue note: The plotted map location is an approximate Humen Park reference, not a surveyed start-line position. Follow the organiser's instructions for Humen Park's east gate, race-pack pickup, access and transport.
