Event Detail
The 2026 Kaihua Qianjiangyuan Half Marathon returns to Kaihua County in Quzhou, Zhejiang, on Sunday 22 November 2026, following a five-year break. The race has capacity for 5,000 participants and features a single 21.0975 km half marathon, starting at 08:00 China Standard Time.
Scenic point-to-point route
Runners set off from the north gate of Gengong Buddha Land Cultural Tourism Zone (根宫佛国), a destination known for its traditional Chinese root-carving art, and finish near Huakang Pharmaceutical in Huabu Town. The organisers describe a journey from cultural landmarks into the green foothills and rural roads near the upper Qiantang River, including scenery associated with the Taoxia (桃下线) countryside route. The start and finish are separate, so plan return transport rather than assuming a loop course. A final detailed course map and shuttle plan should be checked with the organising committee.
Entry and medical screening
Registration opened on 19 October 2026 at 12:00, with a published closing time of 13 November at 12:00, or earlier if all places are taken. Entry costs CNY 120. Every applicant must upload a qualifying medical report from an eligible hospital or professional examination provider dated 22 November 2025 or later. Required checks include personal medical history, any family history of sudden cardiac death, blood pressure and a standard ECG with heart-rate and interpretation. Additional cardiac testing may be necessary if the screening identifies abnormal findings. The organiser reviews the report before confirming eligibility and says rejected applications will have the entry fee refunded. Use the official registration page for the exact medical certificate template and requirements.
Planning and support
The event highlights Kaihua's river-source ecology and a mix of rural and urban scenery. Organisers describe upgraded runner services, refreshments and accompanying local activities, but exact aid-station locations, individual cut-offs, race-pack collection times, transport and the final participant guide should be confirmed closer to race day.
