Event Detail

10th LUA LifeCare Charity Run Hong Kong 2026 is hosted by the Life Underwriters Association of Hong Kong and LUA Foundation on Sunday 25 October. The start and activity area are at Tseung Lam Highway Garden and the Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge, showcasing the waterfront and Cross Bay Link in Tseung Kwan O.

Race morning (Hong Kong time):

  • 10:00am: CM Medical 10K individual and four-person group race
  • 11:30am: HMG 3K individual and four-person group race
  • 11:40am: HMG 3K Buddy (two runners aged 16+) and 3K non-competitive Family (one adult 18+, one child 6+)
  • Noon: Sponsor-only, non-competitive 1K LifeCare Run
  • 12:05pm: 1K x 4 relay for insurance-sector corporate sponsors
  • 12:35pm: 1K x 4 invitation relay for sponsors

The 10K and 3K group races each require four entrants, with standings calculated from the three fastest finishers' combined times. The 3K Buddy pair's result is based on the second runner crossing the finish. The 1K fun run and the relays require special invitation or sponsor registration rather than standard public entry. Each relay runner completes a 1 km leg while carrying a baton.

Runner information: Standard public entry is first-come, first-served with no published fixed registration cutoff. Participants receive an e-certificate, normally available around one month after the race, and a commemorative pack. Bring your own bag when collecting race packs. Route diagrams are available on the official site, but confirmed advance pack pickup dates and a specific collection point are not yet posted. The organiser warns that wave times could shift according to participant numbers.

Prizes span individual and age-group trophies/medals, buddy and team podiums, cash awards for eligible LUA members and visually impaired runners, and special anniversary awards. The 10K and 3K categories also welcome eligible visually impaired participants; please notify the organiser when registering.

Getting there: Tseung Kwan O/Lohas Park-area public transport is recommended. Hong Kong's Transport Department has announced temporary closures of sections of nearby cycle tracks from 9:30am to 12:45pm on race day, so allow extra travel time and check official traffic advice. The venue pin is approximate and should not be treated as the exact race start mat.
