Event Detail
Run Run For Hope: Clearwater Bay Challenge Hong Kong 2026 takes place on Saturday 24 October at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club, on the scenic Sai Kung peninsula. Organised by The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club Charitable Foundation with support from The Shaw Foundation and the club, the charity event opens portions of the private seaside grounds to participating runners and walkers. Funds raised support youth empowerment, community leadership and social inclusion programmes.
Race-day schedule, Hong Kong time:
- 8:00am–1:00pm: overall event programme
- 9:00am: 3.5K charity walk, non-competitive, with a 1-hour-15-minute time allowance
- 9:30am: competitive 5K road run, with a 45-minute time limit
- 9:10am–12:30pm: small community carnival
The 5K run welcomes men and women in an Open division (ages 16–40) and a Masters division (41+), with separate four-person Youth Challenge teams (ages 13–19) and four-person Corporate teams (16+). Top-three results receive awards, subject to organiser rules.
The 3.5K charity walk is a friendly non-timed option for families or groups of two to four walkers, plus corporate teams of at least five. Walkers participate for community fundraising, with a highest-fundraiser recognition rather than finishing-time podiums.
Course and conditions: the event is held on the club's private coast-facing road network, with sweeping sea views and potentially undulating sections. These are not public walking paths normally accessible without permission. Participants should keep to authorised routes and follow marshals' instructions. The organiser promises a commemorative event T-shirt, finisher medal and electronic finisher certificate. Final race-pack pickup and transport arrangements have not been confirmed in the published event notice.
Entry availability: spaces are limited, and registration is subject to the organiser's live checkout capacity. No separate fixed final closing date has been reliably published. The organiser's detailed notice lists separate fees for individuals, youth teams and corporate teams, reflected in ARC race-category cards. Registration links should lead directly to Joymiles, not to the unrelated Singapore Run for Hope event.
