Lockton Fearless Dragon Trail Run Hong Kong 2026

Lockton Fearless Dragon Trail Run Hong Kong 2026 is the eighth edition of this inclusive charity trail event, organised by the Hong Kong Network for the Promotion of Inclusive Society (HKNPIS), with Lockton as title sponsor. It takes place on Sunday 6 December 2026, starting and finishing at Aberdeen P.H.A.B. Barbecue Site in Aberdeen Country Park, Hong Kong Island.

Under the 2026 theme Stand By You, the event promotes participation alongside runners with disabilities and helps fund HKNPIS disability inclusion, outreach and support projects. The courses traverse wooded reservoir paths, the Aberdeen Reservoir main dam and historic stone bridges. The longer races join the Hong Kong Trail and hilly western and central Hong Kong Island routes.

Race programme (Hong Kong time, all Sunday 6 December)

• 28K Hill Hero Challenge, actual mapped distance 28.9 km: starts 9:00am, 9-hour cutoff (6:00pm). Approximately 1,025 m ascent / 1,030 m descent. The 2026 organiser describes this as an ITRA-recognised event with 1 ITRA point and UTMB recognition. The loop includes Aberdeen Upper Reservoir Dam, Middle Gap, Black's Link, Wan Chai Gap, Lugard Road, Lung Fu Shan and Pok Fu Lam Reservoir Road.
• 16K Brave Hill Hero, actual distance 15.9 km: starts 9:10am, 6-hour cutoff (3:10pm). Approximately 507 m ascent / 511 m descent, passing Aberdeen Fitness Trail, Hong Kong Trail Section 3, Peel Rise and Pok Fu Lam Reservoir Road.
• 5K Joyful Together, actual mapped distance 5.6 km: starts 9:20am for solo participants, 9:30am for team categories, each with a three-hour cutoff. Approximately 130 m ascent / 136 m descent via Aberdeen Fitness Trail, Aberdeen Reservoir Road and the Upper Aberdeen Reservoir Dam.

The organiser has confirmed individual and team divisions. In 2026 the longer 16K and 28K team categories moved from four-person to two-person teams, with men's, women's and mixed categories. The shorter 5K event is particularly oriented towards accessible and inclusive community participation. Check each category's age and eligibility requirements in the final registration form. Actual measured course lengths are shown here rather than incorrectly presenting the rounded 5/16/28K titles as precisely measured tracks.

Race-pack collection: Collection dates are still to be announced. The published collection point is AKIV Sportswear Flagship Store, Shop 11–12, 1/F, Prudential Centre, 216–228 Nathan Road, Jordan, Kowloon. Do not travel to the shop without checking the organiser's announced dates and opening times first.

Participant benefits: The official 2026 event page lists an AKIV quick-dry event T-shirt, Stand By You towel, energy gel, 400ml soft water flask, drawstring bag, headband, sponsor products and a bib. A limited AKIV water-resistant wallet is available to the first 600 entrants, not guaranteed to every participant. Finisher awards advertised include a medal, commemorative bowl, thermos cup and electronic certificate; the e-certificate should become downloadable from the timing provider the day after the event. Optional AKIV clothing/accessory purchases on the event website are paid add-ons, not included in the basic entry.

Registration: Online entries opened on 6 August 2026, with a first-come, capacity-limited system. Exact current 2026 entry fees and the final registration cutoff were not reliably verifiable from the accessible official 2026 pages. One linked organiser page still displays older 2025 charity-run categories (2K/5K/10K). Those are for a different edition/event and must not be imported into this December 2026 trail race. Check the current Race Timing Solutions registration screen for payment details, eligible age divisions and any sold-out categories before booking.

Runners should review mandatory trail kit, severe-weather rules, the latest GPX and the official organiser's final race information. Race numbers are non-transferable; the organiser generally does not refund paid entries, and its race rules describe an administration fee for name changes where allowed. Public transport and a short approach walk to the Aberdeen Country Park P.H.A.B. BBQ site are preferable to assuming parking is available at the start.
