Pokémon RUN 30 Hong Kong 2027

Pokémon RUN 30: Hong Kong Edition is a two-day themed fun run at Hong Kong Science Park on 23 and 24 January 2027. It forms part of the official Pokémon 30th-anniversary celebration across seven Asian regions. The Hong Kong course is approximately 2 km and is intended for families, casual runners and fans rather than competitive racing.

The run experience

Participants choose a Grass, Fire or Water-themed race bib representing their first-partner Pokémon. The course includes themed challenges inspired by Pokémon Gyms, sticker-collection activities and a Pokémon RUN Search Sheet. As runners progress, their chosen partner evolves through the event story. The organiser also describes Pokémon Center hydration stops, making this more of an interactive outdoor experience than a timed road race.

Festival activities

A free-entry Festival Zone will operate from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on both days. Announced activities include a pop-up shop for anniversary merchandise, the Pokémon Time Tunnel exhibition, Pikachu appearances, character photo opportunities, Nintendo Switch 2 experiences, trading-card activities and other gaming stations. People who are not registered for the run can still visit the festival.

Entry and eligibility

Registration opened on 1 September 2026 and remains subject to available places; no fixed closing date has been announced. Individual registration is for participants aged 16 or older. Adult pairs must both be at least 16. Family-pair registration covers an adult aged 18 or older and a child aged 3 to 15. Pair prices are for both participants together, not per person.

The runner's kit includes event clothing, themed bib and accessories, collectible cards and two anniversary trading-card booster packs. A special Pikachu promotional card is also announced for participants completing the course. The Pikachu shoulder plush was a limited early-registration incentive, not a standard inclusion for later bookings.
