Lokmat MahaMarathon Season 10 opens with its Kolhapur stage on Sunday 22 November 2026. The race is the first of six independently organised Maharashtra city rounds, followed by Thane, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik, Nagpur and Pune. Each stage has its own date and venue, making Kolhapur a distinct event within the broader circuit.

The official Kolhapur registration page describes a relatively flat urban route intended to combine running with views of the city's heritage and everyday streets. Race organisers plan volunteers, cheerleaders, hydration points and medical support along the course. The 10 km offers an organised competitive challenge, while the 5 km and 3 km provide shorter community-oriented options. The venue is Police Ground beside Tarabai Park on Kasba Bawda Road. The booking platform lists an event window of 05:00–10:00 IST, but does not specify a verified individual flag-off for each distance. Entrants should therefore check final instructions rather than presume all races start simultaneously.

The competitive 10 km divides entrants into three age brackets: Open (18–35), Neo Veteran (36–45) and Veteran (46 and older). A minimum of ten runners is needed for a separate age-category competition; otherwise organisers may move athletes into another suitable category without removing their eligibility for awards. Prize amounts and the complete street-by-street route map are not yet published.

The timed 10 km registration includes a timing chip; all advertised race kits contain a T-shirt, goodie bag, medal and breakfast, with electronic certificates included for selected distances. Listed registration charges are subject to applicable GST and booking fees. According to current booking terms, a voluntary cancellation at least 30 days ahead can qualify for a refund of the race fee, but platform charges are excluded. Later cancellations are not refundable; postponements may lead to an entry credit for a later MahaMarathon event.
