Event Detail
The Indian Navy Half Marathon New Delhi 2027 takes place on Sunday 7 February 2027, bringing runners to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for the event's third edition. Organised by the Indian Navy, it combines competitive road running with opportunities for civilian participants to run alongside naval personnel. The organiser reports that the second edition in 2026 attracted more than 13,000 registrations.
Distances and entry
There are three running options: half marathon (21.1 km), 10K and 5K. The long race is suited to runners preparing for a classic half-marathon distance, while the shorter events open the programme to a wider field. The official registration platform lists separate general-entry and defence-personnel fee categories for all three distances. Those defence discounts require eligibility, rather than representing separate race editions.
Venue and course
The event is centred on Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, with organisers promoting a course through the heart of the capital. Participants can look forward to a city running experience, but must consult the official 2027 athlete guidance for exact start and finish arrangements, course maps, road restrictions and individual flag-off times. The online registration page currently displays a midnight time for all categories, which is not sufficient to establish race-day wave starts. The event date is confirmed; start times remain to be announced officially.
Race pack and runner arrangements
The organiser advertises a moisture-wicking race T-shirt, RFID timing bib, finisher medal, timing certificate, event photography and a goodie bag. Medical teams and ambulances, drinks and post-race refreshments are also advertised. The associated race-weekend expo is scheduled for 5-6 February, but runners should confirm the collection venue, opening hours and photo-ID requirements in their final registration instructions.
New Delhi mornings can be cool in February, so runners should consider warm clothing for pre-start waiting areas and leave time for transport and stadium access checks. Registration status, wave assignment, participant eligibility and the final athlete handbook should be checked directly through the official event website and registration provider before travel.
