SBI Green Marathon Season 7 Ahmedabad 2027

The SBI Green Marathon comes to Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad on Sunday 7 February 2027, bringing the State Bank of India and Mirchi's national sustainability-focused running series to Gujarat for its seventh season. Rather than a full 42 km marathon, the Ahmedabad event is a three-distance festival, with competitive timed races and a shorter untimed community run.

Race day and routes

The half marathon covers 21.0975 km and starts at 5:00 am Indian Standard Time. The timed 10 km starts at 6:00 am; the untimed 5 km starts at 7:00 am. The official event website calls the two longer courses AIMS-certified. It gives a minimum age of 18 for the half marathon and 16 for the 10 km; its current 5 km listing says ages 10 and above, although some ticketing sites display a different figure. Exact 2027 route maps, assembly gates and operational instructions should be confirmed with the organiser, not assumed from the 2025 course images still visible on the Ahmedabad page.

Environmental focus

SBI Green Marathon is a country-wide initiative aiming to link an active lifestyle with practical environmental care. The programme promotes organic event shirts, plantable bibs for 5 km participants, sustainable water cups, organised waste management and biodegradable breakfast service. Chip-timed runners are offered timing certificates, while advertised runner entitlements include a finisher medal, hydration and refreshments. The Ahmedabad round is one of 17 planned Season 7 host cities.

Entry and prizes

The registration partner lists base fees of ₹1,500 for the half marathon, ₹1,200 for 10 km and ₹900 for 5 km; additional GST and payment charges apply. Its advertised closing date is 3 February 2027 at 11:00 am IST, subject to race capacity. The organiser advertises age-category cash prizes for male and female competitors in the timed races. Participants are instructed to report approximately one hour before their start and must look out for the final race-pack collection schedule. The organiser's own city page has the most authoritative times; third-party ticketing information can be updated separately. Plan transport carefully because Sabarmati Riverfront covers a long stretch and the precise start entrance has not yet been confirmed.
