The tech company Oppo is set to hold its inaugural running event, the Oppo Run, on November 24, 2024. Supported by BRI, the event will take place at the Bali United Training Center in Gianyar, Bali. The competition is open to runners in the open, national, and master categories.
Oppo and BRI invite both national and international runners to showcase their best performances. The Oppo Run is part of Oppo and BRI’s commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle among the people of Indonesia. This collaboration aims to inspire and offer a unique fitness experience in Bali, surrounded by stunning scenery.
The event features three main categories. First, the Half Marathon or 21K, which will start at 5:15 AM WITA with a cut-off time at 9:00 AM WITA. Second, the 10K category, starting at 5:45 AM WITA with a cut-off time at 8:00 AM WITA. Third, the 5K category, which will start at 6:15 AM WITA with a cut-off time at 7:15 AM WITA. Additionally, Oppo is organizing a special race for children called the Kids Dash. The distances are 200 meters for ages 6-8, 400 meters for ages 9-10, and 400 meters for ages 11-12.
Participants need not worry about health concerns during the race, as Oppo has arranged ambulances and professional medical teams to be on standby. Oppo is also offering a total prize pool of IDR 528 million for winners in each category. Besides the race, participants will be treated to various entertainment activities throughout the event.
