RUNVERSE UNY Gunungkidul Yogyakarta 2026

RUNVERSE 2026 is a running festival organised by students in the D4 Marketing Management programme at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). Held on Saturday, 7 November 2026, it combines a 5K and 10K road race with local small-business activity and entertainment at the car park of Pasar Hewan Siyono Harjo in Playen, Gunungkidul, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Running programme and atmosphere

Under the theme Enter the Runverse, Expand Your World, the organisers encourage runners to take part at their preferred level while exploring a community festival. The event's slogan, Run Your Way, Explore Your World, reflects that inclusive approach. The 5K provides a shorter entry to a race setting, while the 10K offers a more substantial distance. A local events calendar places the gathering at approximately 05:00 WIB, but the final flag-off time and exact start arrangements must be checked with the organisers, who say a fuller race guide will follow.

The event is also intended to support local micro and small enterprises (UMKM). The festival programme brings together runners, community groups and vendors, so participants may be able to enjoy food and other local offerings after finishing. The organising team has described the event as practical student experience in event management rather than an annual established city marathon.

Ticket categories and requirements

Official Eratix ticketing currently lists three packages: 5K without jersey (IDR 85,000), 5K with jersey (IDR 155,000) and 10K with jersey (IDR 165,000), excluding platform fees. All packages list a race BIB, medal, refreshments, certificate, water stations and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan cover. The two jersey packages also include the official running jersey and a participant bag. Entitlements correspond to the purchased package and are not interchangeable.

After buying a ticket, runners must keep their e-ticket and matching identification ready for registration or race-pack collection. The organiser will announce the collection time and venue through its official Instagram account. Race BIBs cannot be transferred without authorisation, and tickets are generally non-refundable. Final route maps, time limits and safety briefings should be verified through the organiser before race day.
