24th Enakyo Half Marathon 2027 - Ena, Gifu, Japan

The 24th Enakyo Half Marathon takes place in Ena, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, on Sunday 18 April 2027. The course begins and finishes at Crystal Park Ena Skating Rink, with undulating rural roads and mountain scenery providing a scenic challenge rather than a flat, fast route.

The half marathon starts at 9:10 am Japan Standard Time and has a three-hour limit, with intermediate checkpoints at 8.1 km by 10:40 am and 15.5 km by 11:25 am. Adult and junior 3K road races start at 9:25 am, followed at 9:26 am by primary-school races and untimed individual or group jogging. The overall entry limit is approximately 2,500 runners, including 2,000 half-marathon entrants.

Online registration opens on 15 October 2026 and closes on 31 January 2027. An earlier 15 January deadline applies for in-person applications. The 3K programme includes group jogging for up to five people and a free-jogging option. Younger children must follow the organiser's accompaniment rules. The event features age-group awards and a choice of commemorative gifts, together with a draw for local products.

Organisers post bibs before race day, so no on-site race registration is required. Participant gift collection is scheduled between 7 am and 2 pm. Runners arriving by car should use the designated parking site about three kilometres from the venue and take the event shuttle, operating towards the start between 6:30 and 8:30 am. JR Takenami Station is another useful access point. Always check final organiser advice before travelling.
