SHARP HSNKL Half Marathon 2026

SHARP HSNKL Half Marathon 2026 returns to Dataran Merdeka on Sunday, 25 October for its fourth edition, combining a competitive half marathon and 10K with shorter family-focused races in central Kuala Lumpur. The event is organised by Sharp Malaysia and Jabatan Belia dan Sukan WPKL, with technical and co-organisation by Kita Pelari Malaysia and Pure Events, and support from Malaysia's Ministry of Youth and Sports and Kuala Lumpur City Hall.

HSNKL is staged in conjunction with Hari Sukan Negara, Malaysia's national sports celebration. CheckPointSpot identifies HSNKL and HSN Putrajaya as the two flagship running events linked to the 2026 programme, with the pair expected to attract about 30,000 participants.

Race-day operations begin from 04:00 at Dataran Merdeka. The 21K flags off at 04:30 with a four-hour cut-off, the 10K at 06:20 with a two-hour cut-off, and both the 5K Fun Run and 3K Family Run at 07:15 with 75-minute cut-offs. The event uses timing chips for the 21K and 10K. Current organiser material does not publish a final route map, so ARC does not infer the course from previous editions.

Registration is open through Race Roster until 19 October 2026, subject to capacity. Run-kit collection arrangements are still to be confirmed. The published rules state there will be no event-day kit collection; participants must present their confirmation slip or identification, and authorised representatives may collect on behalf of others within the organiser's limits.
