Tokyo Metro Virtual Marathon: Run the Hibiya Line Distance is an official collaboration between Tokyo Metro and the Tokyo Marathon Foundation.
Participants complete at least 20.3 km, matching the length of the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, on a route of their own choosing. The distance may be completed in one activity or accumulated across multiple runs during the event period.
- Event period: 1 October 2026 at 07:00 to 18 October 2026 at 17:00 JST.
- Distance: 20.3 km.
- Entry fee: free.
- Eligibility: age 19+ at event start.
- Required app: ASICS Runkeeper.
- Entrants choose one of Tokyo Metro's nine line groups for ranking purposes.
- Group winners receive Tokyo Metro merchandise.
- Five finishers are selected by lottery for the right to enter Tokyo Marathon 2027; race-entry costs remain the winner's responsibility.
