Wau Run 2026

Wau Run 2026 is a 7 km cultural fun run in central Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, 1 November 2026, built around the traditional wau kite as a symbol of Southeast Asian heritage. Organised by AG Resources, the event starts and finishes at Dataran DBKL and combines an accessible community run with a celebration of regional kite traditions.

The published event programme begins at 6:45am MYT, with the 7K Open category flagging off at 7:00am and a 9:00am cut-off. It is a single-distance road-running event rather than a multi-distance race. Current entry is RM55 before the registration platform's administration fee, and registration closes at 11:59pm MYT on 27 October 2026.

Race-pack collection is scheduled for Saturday, 31 October, from 11:00am to 6:00pm at Padang Merbok in Kuala Lumpur. Current organiser material lists an event shirt, finisher medal, race bib and certificate among participant entitlements.

The live event page includes a route section, but detailed turn-by-turn course information, aid-station arrangements and prize information are not text-verifiable in the accessible current-edition material, so ARC does not infer them. The official current-edition artwork explicitly confirms that both the start and finish are at Dataran DBKL.
