Event Detail
MALATRA ULTRA returns to Putrajaya Wetlands Park in January 2027 as a loop-format endurance event built around a fast, low-lying park course. The organiser’s current event page lists the public event window from 08:00 on Saturday 30 January until 08:00 on Monday 1 February, and promotes the meeting as a challenge for runners ranging from first-time participants through to experienced ultra athletes.
The course concept is unusually simple for an ultra. Current 2027 route records created by Malatra Events on Trace de Trail use a repeating circuit in Putrajaya, with the 25K measured at about 24.97 km and 125 m of climbing, the 50K at 49.91 km and 250 m, the 100K at 99.83 km and 500 m, the 160K at 159.71 km and 800 m, and the 200K at 199.66 km and 1,000 m. Published route profiles stay very low, at roughly 27 to 43 metres above sea level, making the event more about sustained pacing, fuelling and lap management than mountain climbing. The current organiser page also advertises a 1K Kid Dash with a one-hour limit and a 5K category with a two-hour limit.
Current 2027 sources are still being reconciled. The organiser’s main event page explicitly announces a new 250K category, while Malatra-created Trace de Trail records currently stop at 200K and date the 160K and 200K routes to Friday 29 January. The current CheckPointSpot artwork instead promotes 160K, 100K, 50K, 25K and 5K. Because those materials do not yet agree on the final long-distance programme or individual gun times, ARC records only the exact distance options it can represent safely and does not invent category-specific starts.
The DUV ultra calendar separately lists the 50K for 20:00 on 30 January with a 12-hour limit. Detailed 2027 fees, race-pack collection, aid-station arrangements, mandatory equipment, prizes and registration closing date were not safely published in the sources checked, so those fields remain unset rather than being carried forward from an older edition.
