Melawati Run 2027

Melawati Run 2027 is a community road-running event in Taman Melawati, Gombak, returning after the 2026 edition drew about 1,100 participants across the same 7 km and 15 km distances. Organised by Kelab Rekreasi Taman Melawati with support from Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya and the Gombak district youth and sports authorities, the event is designed for both competitive adult runners and local families.

The 15 km field includes men's and women's open and veteran divisions. The 7 km programme offers men's and women's open entries as well as a family-team option for two adults and two children. Entrants can choose packages with or without the official event T-shirt, allowing a lower-cost race-only option.

The published event schedule begins at 5:30am on Sunday 24 January 2027, with the race flag-off at 7:00am from Lorong Sarawak in Taman Melawati. Organiser rules state that road closure support will operate for three hours and that runners starting more than 20 minutes after flag-off may be disqualified. Bibs must remain visible, and pets, prams, skates and similar wheeled equipment are not permitted on the course.

Registration is open through 15 January 2027 unless places fill earlier. A final route map, cut-off details by distance and race-pack collection arrangements have not yet been published on the current registration page, so participants should recheck the organiser listing before race week.
